We recently received news that the site we currently call home is going on the market. The University of Tasmania, who owns the property, announced this development in a recent media release.

While change can be challenging, we’re heartened by the University’s commitment to support She Shreds Australia and our mission to provide a safe, inclusive space where girls can grow, connect, and thrive through skateboarding.

At She Shreds Australia, our core values of accessibility, inclusivity, and community are at the heart of everything we do. Our aim has always been to offer skateboarding access to girls, regardless of their financial situation, and to foster a supportive environment where they can pursue their unique goals, whether that’s building skills, finding belonging, or working towards high-performance skating.

As we look to the future, we’re also looking for a new home. Ideally, we’d love a long-term, permanent space where we can continue to expand and develop a truly inspiring hub for girls in our community. If you or someone you know has a space that could be transformed into a brilliant, sustainable venue for She Shreds Australia, we’d love to hear from you. Please reach out via our inbox to discuss potential opportunities.

For now, we want to assure everyone that She Shreds Australia is still set up at our current location, and all sessions will continue as usual. We’ll keep everyone updated as plans progress and as we work closely with the University to ensure a smooth transition for our community.

Thank you to our entire community for your continued support, and stay tuned for updates as we navigate this new chapter. We’re ready to keep shredding and building an even stronger, more resilient space for the girls!
